I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
